There is no problem with distance and this hole, but an unwanted slice will find all kinds of trouble. The green is well bunkered, especially on the right. Many will sigh with relief when the alternatives are seen. |
The Eleventh Hole is a spectacular par 4 of 286 metres.
From the elevated tee starting with a driver or three wood you can hit down to the fairway below. Very long hitters will have to avoid the lake or the adjacent bunker.
A short iron to the green will have to stay clear of the surrounding trees. |
The Twelfth Hole is another testing par 3 of 147 metres.
Keep a straight shot to avoid the large lake along the line of the approach.
The green is bordered by bunkers but even these may not prevent an overhit shot or sliced tee shot from ending in trouble! |
The Thirteenth Hole is a poetically numbered par of 466 metres.
An iron drive will clear the valley in front of the tee. Depending on your ability, either a safe iron to the right hand side of the fairway, or the agressive wood shot over the corner of the dog-leg to get closer to the green.
At all times the water hazard by the right side of the fairway must be avoided. The green is surrounded by two large bunkers making this a challenging hole. |
The Fourteenth Hole is a par 4 of 368 metres.
From another high tee position the fairway stretches down with a slight dog-leg right. A good drive shot down the left side will set up the second downhill shot with a wood or iron.
The green is fast and presents an easy approach. |
The Fifteenth Hole is an inviting par 3 of 154 metres.
A classic par 3. A well executed tee shot from the high tee is needed to steer clear of the large deep bunkers set at the front left and left rear of the green.
A wayward drive will be gathered up by the slope and end near the green, a good point to remember! |
The Sixteenth Hole is a true par 4 of 371 metres.
This hole can seem longer when played into the prevailing southwest wind. The right to left sloping fairway has a large bunker to the left and a rocky hillside to the right.
The approach to the long three tiered green must be steered clear of a deep bunker on the left side. |
The Seventeenth Tee is the final short par 3 of 151 metres.
The green is on a higher level then the tee and often hides the affect of the sea breeze.
Be advised to take an extra club on this hole and avoid the bunker of the left side. |
The Eighteenth Tee is a demanding par 4 of 345 metres.The lead back to the clubhouse can be conquered with a good straight drive and a long or medium iron will catch the green.
Rather an intimidating view from the tee, all along the left side is a tree lined water hazard. To the right more trees and out of bounds lined by a high bank. |
